I've bought about 15 pairs of skates in the past 10 years for our ever growing family. We know about bearings, and I can rotate wheels, but this is our first pair of hockey skates for my 7 year old son who has been skating on quads for a year.I want him to get used to inline skates and possibly try roller hockey. They seem like a great deal for $[...], since I just bought artistic skates for my two girls which were $250 each with a leather boot. These skates have no velcro or buckle closures, they are strickly laces, like hockey skates usually are. And there are NO breaks, also normal for hockey skates (but I was hoping they'd be there and I could take them off myself when I was ready.)I like the "aircraft metal" truck and the bearings were fast and smooth.
